Importing your LinkedIn message history helps CTD score the strength of your LinkedIn relationships — not just that you're connected, but how actively you've actually corresponded. The steps are the same as for connections.

  1. Go to LinkedIn's data export page and request your data (full archive).
  2. LinkedIn will email you a download link.
  3. Download the file and unzip it. You'll find messages.csv and Connections.csv in the same archive — you can import both at once.
  4. Go to app.ctd.ai/accounts, scroll to the LinkedIn section, and upload the file — or if you have the CTD MCP, drag and drop the file into Claude and tell it to push your messages to Connect The Dots.

To update your messages later, come back to the same page and click Reimport next to Messages.

Tip: Import both connections and messages for the best results. Connections tell CTD who you know; messages tell CTD how well you know them.
