This guide is for organizations that already have CTD connected via Google Workspace domain-wide delegation and want to add Google Contacts and/or Google Calendar sync. Adding these scopes lets CTD enrich your company’s relationship graph with saved contacts and real meeting history, two of the strongest relationship signals there are.
Who does this: Your Google Workspace super administrator, in the same place where the original CTD delegation was set up. It takes about two minutes. If you’re setting up CTD for the first time, follow the Google Workspace setup guide instead, where you can include these scopes from the start.
What each sync adds
- Contacts: the people your team has deliberately saved in Google Contacts, including ones who never appear in email threads. CTD merges them into each person’s network, deduplicated and scored.
- Calendar: meetings are one of the best indicators of a real relationship. CTD uses meeting history (participants and timing, not the contents of your events’ attachments) to score relationship strength more accurately.
Steps
- Go to admin.google.com → Security → API controls → Domain-wide delegation
- Find the existing CTD entry (Client ID
112764625517011504363) and click Edit - Append the new scopes from the table below to the scopes already listed (don’t remove the existing ones)
- Click Authorize
- Let us know the scopes are in place, via Slack, your Account Executive, or support@ctd.ai, so we can trigger the sync on our end
Scopes to add
Don't remove existing scopes. Add the rows you want to enable. Both are read-only: CTD can never modify your contacts or calendar.
| Sync | OAuth scopes to add |
|---|---|
| Google Contacts |
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly
|
| Google Calendar |
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly
|
What these scopes allow: read-only access to users’ saved contacts (
contacts.readonly) and to calendar events and calendar lists (calendar.events.readonly, calendar.calendarlist.readonly), used solely to build and score the relationship graph. CTD cannot edit, create, or delete anything, and nothing beyond what’s listed here.Final step, and please don’t skip it: adding the scopes alone doesn’t start the sync. As soon as the scopes are in place, let us know through any channel: your shared Slack channel with CTD, your Account Executive or CSM, or support@ctd.ai. We’ll trigger Contacts and Calendar sync on our end and confirm data is flowing. Until you tell us, nothing happens.
Using Microsoft 365? Contacts and Calendar sync is supported there too: see the Microsoft 365 setup guide. Already connected Microsoft 365 before? Contact cs@ctd.ai or your Account Executive to add Contacts and Calendar.
Removing these scopes later
Return to domain-wide delegation, edit the CTD entry, delete the Contacts/Calendar scopes from the list, and click Authorize. CTD immediately loses that access while email sync keeps working.
