What you can do with the CTD MCP
The CTD MCP exposes your live relationship graph to your AI client, so you can ask questions in natural language and act on the answers. Everything you can see in the CTD app is available through it — and nothing you can't.
Tools & capabilities
These are the tools the MCP exposes. Your AI client picks and calls them automatically when you ask — you never have to name them.
Find warm paths
- The warmest path to a specific person or company.
- Who on your team or in your network is best connected to a target.
- Multiple paths, ranked by relationship strength.
Explore your network
- People you know at a given company, current and former.
- Companies and people you can reach.
- Potential contacts at a target account.
Look up details
- A person's profile, relationship score and how you're connected.
- Company details and who covers the account.
- Recent job changes across your network.
CRM-aware queries
If your team has connected Salesforce or HubSpot, you can ask things like “paths to accounts I own,” “paths to the CXOs in my open opportunities,” or “which of my target accounts have a warm path.”
Take action
- Draft an introduction or outreach email from the warmest path.
- Draft a ghost email for a colleague (for example your CEO) to review and send.
- Send the email once it's approved.
Troubleshooting
- “Connect The Dots” isn't in the connectors list. Your workspace admin needs to enable it first — see the Setup guide.
- You're connected but get no results. Confirm you approved Allow access, and that your CTD network has data — connect your email and calendar, or upload your LinkedIn connections, in the CTD app.
- Authorization or “not authorized” errors. Re-authorize: remove the connector and reconnect, signing in with your CTD account.
- CRM questions return nothing. CRM-aware queries need Salesforce or HubSpot connected by your admin in CTD.
- It works in Claude but not another client. In Cursor or other MCP clients, add CTD as a custom / remote MCP server using
https://app.ctd.ai/mcp. - Rate-limited. Usage is unlimited on paid plans, but standard rate limits apply — wait a moment and try again.

Good to know
- Permissions: the MCP only returns what your CTD account can already see.
- Usage: unlimited on paid plans — no credits to buy, standard rate limits only.
- Privacy: for shared connections, others only ever see a name, avatar and relationship score — never your underlying emails or messages.
- Prefer to build your own integration? Everything here is also available via the REST API.
